Amy J. Roloff

Let me introduce myself. I’m a 1985 BS/BA graduate of Central Michigan University. I’m a long standing member of Little People of America, a national non-profit organization and in the past was on the board of directors. It was through this organization back in 1986 that I met Matt at a national conference. We have been married for 21 years and have been blessed with 4 wonderful and incredible children. I currently live on 33 gorgeous acres near Portland Oregon growing u-pick pumpkins.

I was born and raised in Michigan to average size parents and 3 siblings. Along with Matt and Zachary, I was born with dwarfism. My other three children are average height. I have had and continue to have my challenges and obstacles in life.  However,  with faith and encouragement from family and friends and a sense of independence and humor my life has been and still is an adventure.

My career has been a Personnel Manager for a small manufacturing firm in Michigan, Administrative Assistant for product development managers at Hewlett Packard in California, an Administrative Assistant for a local soccer club and a preschool teacher in Oregon. In the mean time I manage the home front - the homework, social lives and extra activities of four children and a very creative visionary husband. I currently travel now for the many speaking requests I receive during the year reaching out to others in a variety of venues. I currently serve on the board of the Dwarf Athletic Association of America. Some of my other volunteer service has been a past board member of Little People of America, past board member of my children’s school, community outreach speaker at local schools, parent volunteer and Sunday school teacher.

My faith is what keeps me grounded and I have a simple, down to earth and real approach to life that has enabled me to live life large. My family and I have been featured on over 40 television and print media outlets, including People Magazine, the New York Times, McCall’s and Guidepost and interviews on The View, Oprah, Today and Good Morning America. We have written a book called ‘Little People Big Values’ and are currently featured on our own TV show on TLC called “Little People Big World’.
